Angelic Choir

This choir is geared toward pre-school and elementary age children and sings age appropriate music. Often times, parts are introduced when necessary.
Worship Schedule: Every fourth Sunday at the 10:10am worship service. We celebrate Children and Youth Day in August.
Director: Melissa Covington
Rehearsal: Rehearsals are generally on the two Wednesdays before the fourth Sunday at 6:30 p.m.

Youth & Young Adult Choir

The  1st “G” Youth and Young Adult Choir consists of middle and high school age youth, and young adults (18-40). This choir sings contemporary gospel music. Dynamic and energetic in presentation of praise and worship, all individuals (young at heart included) are welcome to participate.
Worship Schedule: Every fourth Sunday at the 10:10am worship service. We celebrate Children and Youth Day in August.

Rehearsal: Tuesday & Thursday before the our assigned fourth Sunday in the Martin Chapel at 6:30 p.m.

G Men of God

The Choir’s name defines its make-up. This choir sings a variety of contemporary gospel music.  The “G” men of God give praise as though it’s last time. Encouraging men to understand that it is okay for a MAN to lift up holy hands and give praise to God for all He’s done, all men of 1st G are encouraged to participate.
Worship Schedule: Every second Sunday at the 10:10am worship service. We celebrate Annual Men’s Day in July.
Director: Elder Tommy Jones
Rehearsal: Generally on the two Thursdays before the Second Sunday at 6:30 p.m., and on the two Saturdays before the second Sunday at 11:00 a.m.

Praise Team

The Praise Team is a group of anointed worship leaders. leading the congregation in high praise. They may also be called upon at various times to lead worship on Wednesday evenings and special outings to accompany the Pastor. They sing a wide array of Gospel / Contemporary music styles with a focus on singing songs of encouragement and lifting high the Name of Jesus.
Worship Schedule: Each Sunday at the 7:45am worship service

Rehearsal: Rehearsals are at 5:30 pm every Tuesday in the Martin Chapel

Voices of Praise

The “VOP” Choir is an adult choir that sings a wide array of Gospel music styles. However, the focus is singing contemporary music. This anointed choir gives a great presentation of hi-energy and spirited worship and praise. New members are welcomed to join and worship as the presence of God is ushered in giving Him glory and honor.
Worship Schedule: Each 1st and 3rd Sunday at the 10:10 a.m. as well as the following Wednesday during Bible study at 6:30 p.m.

Rehearsal Schedule: Rehearsals are at 6:30 pm on Thursday of each month.

Echoes Choir

The Echoes Choir primarily consists of members 50 years of age and older.  However, the membership also consists of younger adult members as well.  The Echoes welcome members who want to sing in a choir but cannot commit to singing each Sunday. Singing traditional and some contemporary gospel music, the Echoes love the fact that both young and old can come together and give God a great praise.
Worship Schedule: Every fifth Sunday at the 10:10am worship service, and the following Wednesday Evening Service at 6:30pm. We celebrate Annual Senior Saints Day during the summer month with a fifth Sunday.

Rehearsal Schedule: Rehearsals are the two Thursdays prior to the Fifth Sunday at 6:00pm, and Saturday prior to the fifth Sunday at 10am.

New Wave Band

The 1st G band consists of lead guitar, bass guitar, drums, keyboard, and organ. This band is the primary band for all services and special appearances representing the 1st G family. Many members of the band are available for private lessons. Many guest appearances from other instruments such as saxophone and trumpet may also happen.

Rehearsal Schedule: The band rehearses every second Tuesday at 6:30pm and every fourth Tuesday at 5:30pm.
