Interim Pastor - Keith A. Bush
PERSONAL
​
Keith A. Bush, Sr. was born in Louisville, KY to the proud parents, William Bush, III and the former Beatrice O. Cosby. Rev Bush has three sons Stephon, Keith Jr., and Derek. He has three granddaughters, Madison, Peyton and Brooklyn and one grandson Derek Jr. Rev. Bush elected to sever his ties with C.S.X. Transportation where he served as Safety Director/Electrician for 22 years and committed to serving the Lord full time.

EDUCATION
​
Bush was formerly educated in the public school system of Jefferson County and graduated from Atherton High School in 1973. He attended E.K.U. in Richmond, KY majoring in Psychology and Southland Bible Institute in Ashland, Kentucky majoring in Christian Education. Rev. Bush received his Associates Degree in Christian Education, and his Bachelors of Arts Degree in Pastoral Ministry from Simmons College of Kentucky, in Louisville, Kentucky. He plans to pursue a Masters of Divinity at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
MINISTERIAL EXPERIENCE

Rev. Keith A. Bush, Sr. was licensed on the 20th day of April, 1986 and he was ordained the 15th of November, 1987 at the First Gethsemane Baptist Church under Dr. T. Vaughn Walker. He served as the Interim pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Huntington, WV. He served as Assistant Pastor/Youth Pastor of Antioch Baptist Church in Huntington, WV. under the leadership of Rev. Reginald Hill. He currently serves as the Interim Pastor at First Gethsemane Baptist Church. He is also the Executive Director of the First Gethsemane Center for Family Development, Inc.

Rev. Bush has attended numerous leadership conferences and seminars to further his education. He has been preaching the Gospel for 33 years. As Executive Director, he supervises the Child Development Center, (daycare) Youth Tutoring and Coding programs, Spring Break Summer Camp and other programs/activities at the First Gethsemane Center for Family Development, Inc. Rev. Bush has a spiritual commitment to children, youth and young adults.

Above all else Rev. Bush is a “Born Again Child of the King”
